My workshop in the London borough of Bexley is the heart and soul of Karen Woolven Floral Design.
It’s where it all happens: we skilfully turn bucketfuls of fresh blooms into gorgeous floral creations, help florists find perfect props as part of our event prop hire service and talk to brides about their dream wedding flowers.
Our central location means we’re close enough to London to see city clients and install floristry jobs, and can also easily liaise with clients and suppliers in Kent, too.
Now we’ve got an extra reason to smile about where we’re based. At the 2015 Bexley Business Awards on 26 February we were thrilled to be awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in a brand new category, ‘Made in Bexley’.
We were one of 35 shortlisted companies, from 50 entries, selected by an independent judging panel made up of industry and business experts.
The gala dinner at the Marriott Hotel in Bexleyheath was a fantastic night – and it made a change to be invited as guests instead of arranging flowers then leaving before everyone arrived!
Congratulations to the others shortlisted in the ‘Made in Bexley’: 8point3 LED, the winner, and Bexley Brewery, who were commended.
